The CDC Group is calling for applications for Its Consultant Trainee Programme.
Responsibilities of Trainees
The Trainee will deliver timely and quality output in the form of reviews, assessments and analysis, research and advocacy through strong internal and external collaborations. Specifically, the trainee will:
- Research on companies, professions and specific sectors
- Maintain and update the company database
- Network with partners and clients via phone, email and face to face meetings
- Contribute to writing research proposals, reports and articles on the firm’s sectors of focus
- Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects and programmes
- Support organizational development activities
- Support in resource mobilization efforts, including grants and proposal writing
- Contribute to programme management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a recent or upcoming university graduate who demonstrates a passion for sustainable development, financial inclusion and climate (green) business. Among others, the candidate must possess:
- Relevant academic qualifications, preferably in Accounting or Finance, any or a combination of Economics (including agric. economics), Agribusiness, Development Studies, Development Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.
- Good writing skills
- Adequate knowledge of relevant qualitative and quantitative analytical tools (R, SPSS, Stata, etc.)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
- The ability to think creatively and take the initiative in solving problems
- A good sense of ownership and responsibility for his/her decisions and actions
- A strong sense of leadership
